Women's Activities

lwml-logoThe Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) is a national organization that provides funding for mission projects throughout the world. Local societies of LWML contribute to state and national projects, but they also adopt projects in their own communities. Grace LWML is an active society that provides women of all ages with opportunities for service to our Lord.

Business meetings are held once every quarter. We meet monthly for Bible Study, service projects and interest sessions.

On New Year’s Day, Sunday,  Jan 1, we will also have only one service at 10:30 a.m. We will have Sunday School and Bible Class on that day.

May your holidays be blessed as you remember Jesus is the reason for  this season.

Socks for Seniors

Grace LWML is collecting “Socks for Seniors”.  Colorful socks, funny socks, plain socks, slipper socks — whatever you would like to bring. There is a collection basket in the narthex/foyer of the church. These socks will be delivered to area nursing home residents as our ladies go out to make visits.

Church Picnic Memorial Day Weekend

On Sunday, May 29, 2016, we will have an outdoor worship service followed by a Church Picnic. There will be only one worship service that day and that will be at 10:30 a.m. (No Sunday School or Bible Class). We’ll be in the All Saints Pavilion, so please dress in casual clothes. We’ll eat around noon.

The Men of Grace will provide BBQ. Please bring a side dish and/or dessert to share. You can leave your food inside the kitchen if you wish and we’ll bring it all out to the pavilion after the worship service. After the meal there will be games and activities for all ages and the chance to just sit and visit! Please be there to enjoy the day with us!

P.S. Unless we’ve had a lot of rain that week, please feel free to drive out to the pavilion and park on the grass. No need to walk all the way out there unless you want to do so!

Disaster Response January 23 2016

Nine members of Grace joined over 300 Lutherans from across North Texas to help with clean up and community service to those affected by the tornados that hit the Garland area the day after Christmas. David Ricks, Disaster Response Coordinator from Beautiful Savior in Arlington wrote about it on his blog. Some of our members helped with debris removal, and some helped distribute the BBQ meals. It was rewarding and fulfilling to be the hands and feet and voice of Jesus as we shared His love with these communities.

Sunday, December 20, meet us at Grace at 3:00 p.m. and we’ll all go caroling together! We’ll stop at three nursing/retirement facilities and a home or two, then meet back at Grace.
