Women's Activities
The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) is a national organization that provides funding for mission projects throughout the world. Local societies of LWML contribute to state and national projects, but they also adopt projects in their own communities. Grace LWML is an active society that provides women of all ages with opportunities for service to our Lord.
Business meetings are held once every quarter. We meet monthly for Bible Study, service projects and interest sessions.

We will be taking down our cross display this coming Saturday, February 6, at 9:00 a.m. Any and all help will be appreciated
Join us January 31 at Lonestar Lanes of Sherman, 1414 S FM 1417 in Sherman from 1:30 to 3:30. Grace will pay for two games for everyone. You will need to rent your shoes and pay for any additional games you play. Bring the whole family and your friends. If you need more information, call the church office.
The LWML will be serving a Swedish Meatball Dinner on January 28 from 5-7 p.m. Doors open at 4 for the craft and bake sale. All proceeds are going to the building fund. Carryouts are available. Tickets are $7.50. Children under 5 eat free. For more information or to get tickets, call the church office: 903 465 1016.
Sunday, December 20, meet us at Grace at 3:00 p.m. and we’ll all go caroling together! We’ll stop at a couple of nursing facilities and a home or two, then meet back at Grace to share some refreshments that we’ll all bring to share. All you need to join us is a willing spirit!
During the month of November, we are collecting items for our troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. A list of daily items they need and will use can be found here. You do not need to bring everything on the list – just select a few items and bring what you can. Any and all contributions will be appreciated. The collection center is in the Fellowship Hall. Items will be distributed through LCMS Ministry to the Armed Forces.

The LWML is encouraging all the members of the congregation to provide items for the Grayson Crisis Center during the month of October. They are a nonprofit organization committed to helping the victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse. More information about them can be found at grayson-crisiscenter.org.
Here is the list of things we are collecting:
- Plastic soap holders
- Shampoo and Conditioner
- Children’s Tylenol
- Plastic pillow and mattress covers
- Hand held can opener, pans, kitchen utensils
- Vienna sauages
The collection center for these items is in the fellowship hall. Look for the blue and pink washtubs.
All the Ladies of Grace are invited to join us this Thursday (September 10) at 6:30 at the church for a Salad Supper followed by a craft night. We will be making individual gift items for all the members of the congregation. We’d love to see you there!
Our September Ingathering will be for the Pregnancy Care Center in Sherman. There is an ongoing baby item need list available and baskets for the items collected in the fellowship hall.
All ladies young or old or in between are invited to come join us on August 13 at 6:30 pm. We will be planning this year’s events and activities. If you have something you would like to see done as a mission project or just a fun thing please bring you ideas to the meeting. Hope to see you there.
