Children's Ministry
We want our children to know their Savior. We provide a variety of opportunities for them to worship, learn, sing and play here at Grace.
Every Sunday we provide classes for all aged children at 9:00 a.m.
During the School year we offer Wednesday evening activities for children aged 3 through 6th grade.
We also host Family events throughout the year.

Our mission project for September – November is to provide Military Bible Sticks for our active duty service men and women. The Military BibleStick comes pre-loaded with the entire New Testament. It is rugged enough to withstand tough weather conditions, can be used in low-light situations, and it easily fits into uniform pockets. It comes with headphones and runs on a single AAA battery. Each kit also includes a CD of the same files that can be loaded on to a computer, as well as a mail in card to have a free CD of the New Testament sent to a spouse or child back home. This entire kit, produced by Faith Comes By Hearing, can be provided to our troops for $25 each. The kits are sent to Chaplains who then distribute them to the service men and women. They are only given to those who request them, and right now the requests far outnumber the funding available.
All the offerings for Sunday School and Midweek will go toward this for this quarter. Anyone who would like to make extra contributions for this project can place it in the regular offering and mark it “Military Bible Sticks.”
May God bless our troops and our efforts to provide them with His Word!
We’ve got a children’s ministry that meets on Wednesdays through the School Year from 6 – 8 p.m. We start by feeding the kids (and anyone else who shows up) a great dinner from 6 – 6:30. After that, the kids have time for Bible stories, games, crafts, and lots of other stuff. We’d love to have you join us.
The new Sunday School Year begins September 5. We are excited to see all the children come back for their new classes. We have classes for all ages. Those aged two up through Confirmation Age will be using “Growing in Christ” materials. This quarter, the lessons will all be from the book of Genesis.

If you are able to bring brunch items to share, please do so. If not, join us anyway! This is your time to visit with your brothers and sisters in Christ here at Grace.

Food For The Poor is the number one international relief and development charity in the United States, feeding 2 million poor every day. Our Christian relief programs and projects are helping children and the poorest of the poor by providing food, housing, health care, education, water projects, emergency relief and micro-enterprise assistance in the Caribbean and Latin America.
Rev. Daniel Otto brought us a message about Food for the Poor in our worship services on May 2. The door offering received that day was about $2000, almost enough to build one home. Your contributions can go a long way toward feeding and houseing the poor of this area. For example, $25 provides 20 chicks; $90 provides a family with a goat; $205 provides a water pump. There is so much we can share with those living in destitution.
Our Summer Sunday School and VBS offerings this year will all be going to support Food for the Poor. If you would like to make a special gift or know more about specific needs, there is a catalog in the church office.
Remember the Old Fashioned Church Picnics? The ones where everyone played games and shared great food and visited and thanked God for the fellowship we have in Jesus? That’s our plan for Sunday, May 30th. On that day, we will have only one worship service, and that will be at 10:00 a.m. (There will be no Sunday School or Bible Class on that day.) We’ll have the tent up and have our worship outdoors, so please dress in casual clothes. We’ll plan to eat around noon. The Men of Grace will grill burgers and brats and hot dogs. We ask everyone to bring side dishes and desserts to share. Before and after the meal there will be games and activities for all ages. Some of you may want to sit under the tent and play dominoes. Others will want to be a part of the balloon toss or egg relay race. We just want you all to be there to enjoy the day with us.
This Summer the kids will be hearing some of the great stories from the Old Testament: Ruth, Elijah and the prophets of Baal, Esther, and Daniel in the Lion’s Den. We’ll spend three weeks on each story using videos, crafts, drama, games and activity pages. Sunday School begins at 9:15 each week.
Would you be willing to help with Summer Sunday School this year? And and all help is needed and appreciated. Our Summer programs is designed so that you can help for as few or as many weeks as you wish! We will be sharing stories from the Old Testament with all ages in a variety of ways this summer. The organizational meeting for Summer Sunday School will be May 18 at 6:30 p.m. Contact the church office is you have questions or want more information before then.
