Work Days at Grace

We had about 15 show up for our work day on February 11 and got a lot done. Thanks to all who helped!

We still have more projects, so we have another work day scheduled for March 18. We will begin at 9:00 a.m. and work into the afternoon. Lunch will be provided. We have a variety of items, with both indoor and outdoor projects.

Projects include new flooring for the offices, painting one of the Sunday School rooms general cleaning and organizing,  and a few minor repairs.

If you have questions, contact Lindel Davis. Hope you will join us!

Midweek is Back!

Midweek and Confirmation resume January 4th. We serve a meal at 6:00 pm and classes meet from 6:30 – 8:00 pm. There are classes available for all ages.

Children – Midweek is open to ages 3 through 5th grade. Jeana Dube is in charge of leading this.  They will be studying Parables, singing, making crafts and playing games. Please bring as many kids as you can to build their relationships with others and our one true Savior.

Confirmation – Meets in room 6 with Pastor to study Luther’s Small Catechism. Confirmation Sunday is May 7, 2017.

Adults – Cheryl Mattil will be leading a study for the Adults who attend.

Please contact the church office if you have any questions!

Christmas Brunch and Worship

Join us to worship our new born king Sunday, December 25!  We will not have our 8:00 a.m. service that day, but we will have worship with Holy Communion at 10:30 a.m.  Also, instead of Sunday School and Bible Class, we will have a potluck Brunch for anyone who would like to join us.

On New Year’s Day, Sunday,  Jan 1, we will also have only one service at 10:30 a.m. We will have Sunday School and Bible Class on that day.

May your holidays be blessed as you remember Jesus is the reason for  this season.

Disaster Response January 23 2016

Nine members of Grace joined over 300 Lutherans from across North Texas to help with clean up and community service to those affected by the tornados that hit the Garland area the day after Christmas. David Ricks, Disaster Response Coordinator from Beautiful Savior in Arlington wrote about it on his blog. Some of our members helped with debris removal, and some helped distribute the BBQ meals. It was rewarding and fulfilling to be the hands and feet and voice of Jesus as we shared His love with these communities.

Christmas Caroling

Sunday, December 20, meet us at Grace at 3:00 p.m. and we’ll all go caroling together! We’ll stop at three nursing/retirement facilities and a home or two, then meet back at Grace. Soup will be provided and we can share some refreshments that we’ll all bring. All you need to join us is a willing spirit!

UPDATE: On June 24 we had about a dozen folks join together to put together 35 flood buckets. We have about 40 of them so far, and the contributions are still coming in. We should be able to surpass our original goal of 50! Thanks to everyone who has contributed to this project with your time, items, money and prayers. We will be delivering these to Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Arlington. They store them and deliver them around the country as needed.
