We will be taking down our cross display this coming Saturday, February 6, at 9:00 a.m.   Any and all help will be appreciated

Family Bowling

Join us January 31 at Lonestar Lanes of Sherman, 1414 S FM 1417 in Sherman from 1:30 to 3:30. Grace will pay for two games for everyone. You will need to rent your shoes and pay for any additional games you play. Bring the whole family and your friends. If you need more information, call the church office.

Christmas Caroling

Sunday, December 20, meet us at Grace at 3:00 p.m. and we’ll all go caroling together! We’ll stop at a couple of nursing facilities and a home or two, then meet back at Grace to share some refreshments that we’ll all bring to share. All you need to join us is a willing spirit!

Children’s Christmas Program

The children of our congregation will lead our Worship Service on December 20 at 10:30 a.m. with their program “Something Fishy at Christmas.” Rehearsals will be held on December 12 & 19 from 10 a.m. – Noon.

Midweek & Confirmation & Youth

Confirmation Classes and Midweek and Youth group will resume meeting  on Wednesday January 6th. Each week Dinner is from 6-6:30, after which the groups break into their own activities from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. 

Those 5th grade and under will experience “Arctic Polar Extremes – Warmed by God’s Love

“Polar Extreme” challenges students to love the Lord with all their heart, soul, mind and strength by worshipping Him, loving Him, and obeying Him.  We will look at six incredible Bible Stories.

The Youth Group meets under the Leadership of Michael Miller. They are studying Proverbs and also take time for group games.

Pastor’s Confirmation Class is for those in 6th-8th grade. The Unit Test for The Office of the Keys and the Lord’s Prayer is on January 27th. After that we will begin our study of the Sacraments.

November Midweek

Our midweek for November has a military theme to tie in with the Ingathering of items for our troops. Wear your Camo and be ready to SOS…Search…Obey…Serve.  Our midweek program is for all our Youth – those in High School all the way down to 3-year-olds!  Join us for a meal at 6:00 p.m. and activities from 6:30-8:00 p.m.

November Ingathering

During the month of November, we are collecting items for our troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.  A list of daily items they need and will use can be found here. You do not need to bring everything on the list – just select a few items and bring what you can. Any and all contributions will be appreciated. The collection center is in the Fellowship Hall.  Items will be distributed through LCMS Ministry to the Armed Forces.

Fall Fest & Fish Fry

This is an Intergenerational event, with a great meal for everyone, as well as activities and games for children of all ages. All are welcome to come in costume and participate in the fun.

We will have pumpkin painting, a costume contest, cake walk and hayrides for all. 

 

 

Splash Party

Grace has reserved the Splash Park in Sherman for our congregation’s use on Sunday, August 16 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. You can invite your friends to join us. This is for kids of all ages. There are water slides and fountains in addition to the pool, but you don’t have to get wet if you don’t want to – just come and join us for a chance to visit and enjoy the company. There is a covered pavillion, so you can even sit in the shade if you want. Bring drinks and food to share for a pot-luck. If you have any questions, contact DD.

Vacation Bible School

We had more than 60 kids at VBS June 15-19  hear how it all comes back to Jesus. We surpassed our Mission Offering Goal to support our Hong Kong Missionary, so the kids got to build sundaes on top Pastor’s and DD’s heads!  The video is below.
